Facilitated by Alzheimer’s Australia Vic, artworks in the For the Record collection were created by a group of people with dementia. Vinyl records by the participants’ favourite musicians were purchased and used as a canvas for their drawings. The project’s aim was to explore the importance of memories and music and to give participants full creative licence to explore their own impulses and intuitive mark-making. There are 69 vinyl records that make up the sub collection.
